Why Teams Choose RANKO

Six reasons the calendar stops being a wish list

Once a team drags approved clusters onto a ninety day calendar, each card carrying its full brief, spreadsheets stop.

The calendar replaces the spreadsheet

The calendar replaces the spreadsheet

Most content calendars go stale a week after they are built. The 90-Day Calendar is live: every card stays linked to its cluster, scores update.

Every card arrives already enriched

Every card arrives already enriched

The pillar topic, supporting terms, article type, links, and Opportunity Score are on the card before anyone drags it. The brief is already written.

Reordering is a drag, not a rebuild

Reordering is a drag, not a rebuild

When priorities change, a launch shifts, a competitor moves, the calendar reshuffles in seconds. Pick up the cards that move and the rest adjusts.

Internal linking targets are pre-attached

Internal linking targets are pre-attached

Internal linking is one of the highest leverage moves in content and the most neglected. Each card already includes suggested links to use.

Hand off is one click

Hand off is one click

The calendar is a hand off surface, not a destination. Send the card to Content Forge to draft, or the brief to writers in their platform. One click.

The team finally publishes on schedule

The team finally publishes on schedule

The shift from we publish when ready to we publish what is on the calendar changes a team's rhythm. The compounding that needs cadence starts.

Questions & answers

Everything you need to know

Questions about what is on a card, article types, internal links, and hand off.

Every card carries the full brief from the moment it lands in the library. The pillar topic to anchor on. The five to fifteen supporting terms to cover. The suggested article type. The current Opportunity Score and which engines contributed to it. The competitors to displace, with the pages to out-write. The suggested internal links. The questions the article must answer to take the citation.
The article type recommendation is based on three signals: the shape of the pillar topic, the kind of questions the cluster answers, and how the incumbents are cited. A cluster of comparison questions where competitors are cited from comparison pages gets a comparison article. How to questions get a guide. A broad pillar gets a hub. The recommendation is a suggestion: override it on any card and the brief adjusts.
From a continuous read of your existing site combined with the cluster the new article belongs to. Ranko knows which of your pages cover related pillars and supports, which would benefit from a link, and which pillar pages the new article should link back to. The suggestions appear on the card as a ranked list with the rationale for each, so the writer drops them into the first draft rather than researching later.
Yes, multiple calendars are supported and most teams use them. A team might run a calendar per content track, per business unit, or per client if it is an agency. Each calendar has its own library of approved clusters, publishing cadence, hand off destinations, and approvers. Cards can move between calendars when priorities shift, so a piece can move from blog to comparison without losing enrichment.
The card stays on the calendar with a status reflecting where it is in production. Handed off to Content Forge means the draft is being written. Sent to a writer in Notion means the writer is working on it. Out for review means the editor is looking. Published means the article is live and the card links to the URL. The calendar becomes both the planning surface and the progress tracker, so the team always knows exactly where every piece is without chasing three different systems for the answer.
Topic Planner produces the ranked plan. Opportunity Score keeps the rankings honest. The 90-Day Calendar turns the plan into a schedule the team ships. Cards inherit their Opportunity Score from the underlying topic, and when the score refreshes, the card refreshes too. Topic Planner's recommended order is the default, and the team can reshuffle by score or priority. The three turn discovery into operations seamlessly.
